Not exactly right Tom, it is still Residential, with a management company, strange, but a management company was in existence before the new laws were introduced,,yes many people let, but almost as many don't, however it has worked perfectly well for as long as I have been there (15 years). In my humble opinion it will never go fully touristic, main reason, the cost of installing a fire system. Many years ago estimates were around £80,000, this was for "Surface" piping (3 inch red cast iron pipes running the length and breadth of the complex),{have a look at THe Heights} now I am sure you purchased on R.P. because of its unique architecture and looks, and would not want it ruined, by this system. As far as I can remember, nobody even quoted for a system that would bury these pipes within the walls, and the cost would be absoloutely prohibitive.Even the people that rent commercially would not want to bear the costs of this, and the non renters certainly wouldn't.
The new management company (2 years) are a little nieve, and should have left things exactly as they were, as I think they may have opened "A can of Worms"
