 The Bahamas 2, Torviscas
The Bahamas 2 is located under the former market site in Torviscas. It's been there in the same format for as long as I can remember. Probably close to 20 years.
If you are a steak lover then this is the place for you. Huge sirloins and fillets come on a sizzling platter. I don't know what they do to the steak but it's always tasty and tender. Sirloins are around €6 and fillets €8. They come with a Canarian potato and carrot garnish as well as chips.
I have to be honest and say that although the steaks are perfect the rest of the accompaniments can be a little disappointing. But, at that price you get what you pay for.
We always joked in the past about how bad the service was. It has improved since their refurb last summer but is still not great. You may have one meal come 10-15 minutes after the rest (we have a few times) or you may have to ask for the bill 6 times (that is our record). If you are a steak lover though then it is well worth a try.
