I have just found out about
this website which is run by the University of Texas.
What you have is little video clips of various people saying a paragraph about something in Spanish, graded from basis to advanced. The really good thing about it is that at the same time you have the text to follow, which you can switch from Spanish to English, or no text at all, so you can get used to listening and following what is being said. Then you can pinpoint individual sentences if you need to.
The speakers are all from various Latin American countries, but I guess they are making an effort to minimize their accents for the camera. The differences are quite interesting. Much easier than Canarian, anyway!!
For a start, try 'counting to ten' with Isadora Hennig.
