Re: Walk for Life sponsors needed (UPDATE) Over 2,000 people took part in yesterday's Walk for Life and raised €8,400 which will be divided between a number of cancer organisations.
- The pink tide swept through the streets of Adeje and Arona on a sunny Sunday morning, with councillors from both boroughs taking part in the walk beside organiser Brigitte Gypen and members of the cancer associations represented.
A number of swimmers also completed the same stretch in the sea, and there was music and singing and dancing along the way, as well as lots of fun, give aways and an important raising of awareness of breast and other forms of cancer.
the entertainment line up before the walk was
1st Jesse Garon ( myself)
2nd Suzy Q
3rd Rick Porter
well done Suzy & Rick both did excellent shows, I also did the walk along with my wife and thousands of others, great atmosphere, people travelled from all over the island to do the walk and there was also some people from La Gomera there as well, excellent day and great amount raised, only black spot on the day was one gentleman had his wallet stolen while watching the entertainment at the end of the walk, ( there are some heartless *******s out there.)
I know there were TV crews there filming at the start does anyone have any idea where i might be able to get a copy of this from, cheers Jesse.
