I take the bus all the time. It's generally a very good reliable service. The 343 bus from Puerto to Las Americas is very convenient, but costs a bomb. €6.25 each way with a bonobus, or something like €11.60 without.
There's only one problem with "getting off and stopping whenever you want" on the way up to Mt. Teide - there's only one bus up past Vilaflor to Las Caņadas, and one bus back down in the afternoon. :-) |
