I would suggest that if you are a fan of Google (as I am) that you check out Google Dashboard.

This "application" shows you just what information Google has on you, and your browsing habits.

Fortunately, you can revoke access, change settings, and see what you want Google to know about you. Well to a certain degree ')

You may be surprised, or not............................

Yep - please, I need a link. If I Google 'dashboard' I get a nightmarish cyberspace which makes no sense to me. Someday, I'll find out what a blog is, but at the moment I get the impression it is synonymous with crap.

So they can find out every bit of crap about you and use it to reduce you to a screaming wreck with no money or sense.

I've revoked some stuff, be interesting to see what, if any difference it makes to my gmail account.

I do sign into google, as my homepage is set with several "sections" of interest to me, like the BBC world news, gmail, dictionary/thesaurus, weather widgets, quotes etc etc

Having said that, I get hardly any spam on gmail. Most of my "spyware" and other tracking cookies and nasties come from Facebook.............. Pity FB doesn't have a dashboard too!
