how to donate online?

iwas going to set up a paypal account to my bank account for donations towards the betlemistas nuns, but someone told me that the donations will be taxed :/ is there another way to do it?

I am looking for a female version of the song "Music" (was my first love). I know that Bassey sang it at the Royal Variety Performance a few years ago, but I need a good clean recording by any female artiste.

Any ideas folks, it's for a new number in our show about Divas.

hello all!

The charity night for the betlemistas nuns and the celebratery walk up Tiede is approaching @ the Crazy frog and to make the night extra special we are calling all people who could contribute in anyway possible forward, we currently have 3 amazing singers who are giving us an hour each of their talent and one amazing magician, there will be no wage payed although free drinks and food off the BBQ will be thrown your way, we are looking to make this night the best one yet so if you have any off the wall ideas let us know, even if you want to volunteer to be a sexy waiter/waitress :D

the night is going to be held on the 7th of october

And remember its for a very worthy cause :D

Public Koran book burning to go ahead - is this any different to extremists?

Despite international condemnation, a small US church intends to burn copies of the Koran on 9 September, the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in modern times.

The organiser, Pastor Terry Jones says that "we must send a clear message to the radical element of Islam", but the US army, NATO, and Muslim countries have said the move will be inflammatory (literally and figuratively) and increase tensions and danger for forces serving in sensitive areas.

It's pretty obvious that whilst Islamists generally seem happy to offend everyone else's sensibilities, with Fatwas, stonings, burning effigies, and the like, they are outraged when their own sensitivities are offended ... something that's very easy to achieve, it seems.

So on the one hand, it could be argued that this Koran burning is no worse than what they do all the time ... let's not forget the Palestinian celebrations in the streets when news broke of the twin towers' collapse, and Iran's current insistence on stoning a woman despite universal outrage over the primitive penalty.

And yet anyone with half a brain can see that this public Koran burning will outrage Muslims so much that retaliation can be expected. Even if it revenge attacks were not likely, though, should we be free to express our own anger in ways that merely copy what extremists do? And if not, why should we accept that the easily outraged should be free to offend us in the first place?

Couldnt find a thread for this subject . we have our first dog since we got married wouldnt have had one when we were both working.This has been his progression still to get an up to date one as hes now 3 stone at only 6 months

Why do Fish swim all the tme?

A couple of months ago i got an aquarium from someone who didn't want it anymore i cleaned it all up and bought some fish and it looks lovely.

Anyway, i have been watching it a lot tonight and the fish just swim all the time, they never stop.....

What i want to know is why? Why do they swim all the time, i have legs but it doesn't mean i walk and run all the time and never take a break, surely they must get tired?

If anyone can oblige I'd be very grateful. :) If you can watch out for deals on it, it's usually 2.50 a tube but sometimes superdrug have a two for one offer on. :)

Superb movies

Ok, as a movie fan I'd like to start a thread on the best movies ever, I don't care if they are Horror's, Kid's films, family, entertainment, action, drama or comedy.

If you have some all time classics in your head I'd like to know what they are, please copy the last post and add your own so we can see a list at the end rather than trawl through them all.

A brief synopsis of the film would be great too.

Uncle Buck, probably my favourite film ever: a comedy with John Candy, forced into looking after his brother's kids.

Trains, planes and automobiles: Do I really need to describe the adventure between John Candy and Steve Martin? :)

The Straight Story, This is an amazing film: Determined to meet and patch things up with his brother before either one of them dies, Alvin decides to visit him. The trouble is that Lyle lives over 300 miles away in Mount Zion, Wisconsin, and Alvin is legally unable to drive a car due to his bad health and poor eyesight. To make matters worse, Rose cannot drive either and they have no money for a bus fair. Undaunted, Alvin hatches a plan: he will drive his Rhoda lawn mower all the way.

I don't know how I even came to see this as I wouldn't normally watch this type of film but it was brilliant, it's a great, family, non offensive film.....watch it. :)
