Default Did you know that today is the happiest day of the year?

Apparently the feeling of optimism caused by the combination of lighter evenings, the prospect of holidays and memories of childhood summers is at its peak on June 20.

According to the research this has been worked out using the equation O + (N xS) + Cpm/T + He.

O stands for being outdoors and outdoor activity, N is connection with nature, which is in full bloom now, S is socialisation with neighbours and friends, Cpm stands for childhood positive memories, T is the mean temperature which is now usually warm, and He is holiday expected.

The article does not say what kind of academic established this formula, but certainly not one with an ounce of mathematical knowledge. One element (Cpm/T) shows an inverse relationship to temperature, so the colder it is, the happier you are. If its the centigrade scale, you are infinitely happy at freezing point.

Sorry to put a damper on things, but it's cold and raining here.

On the good side though - it's Friday (TFI Friday), we're still solvent and we had an enquiry about the sale of our bungalow today!!!!

It gets better - we have a very slim chance of winning the Euro millions tonight and another very slim chance of winning the jackpot on the Lotto rollover tomorrow!!! Yayyyyyyyyyyyy - what a great day!!!
