Default Have you ever had a hostile email out of the blue for no reason?

Well I just have, from someone I've never even met. Why? What do people get out of it.

Yep. A person who knows my identity, and whose I identity I know in turn. But an intenet "aquaintance" I barely know, and had no more than a handful of exchanges with some time ago.

I've had a couple over the years, but I did get apologies that it was sent in error.

Oh no, directed very much to me. And I know why, I believe.

Why is it always the most "caring", most "emotionally connected" who are the nastiest pieces of work?

These things are often a cry for help. Unfortunately you invariably get battered when you do try to help.

Best to ignore these fragile souls unless you’re getting the counselling fees.
