Register you mobile now!

I know there's a thread about this somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

Just a reminder that if you have a pay as you go mobile phone here in Spain, the last date to register it is 8th November.

If you haven't registered it by then, your number will be deleted and you won't be able to use your sim card. (I think)

Go to your nearest mobile shop (movistar, orange, vodaphone etc) with your passport and residencia to get it registered, it's free and only takes 5 mins.

If only so easy...............

VODAFONE shop in Las Galletas cant do it as pc down and wont be working for another week....aaarrrgghhh

They reccomend i go to El Camison.........so so helpfull.....bit of a long walk for me.

So going to change provider to Hits.....much cheaper and can provide the service in Las Galletas....

Dont really know much about them, but its only 19cents a minute to ring he UK and txt arnt 90 cents to uk so that should save me 100€ a week...

The shop is by the BBVA Bank and its called........BBV...

Will go and find it tomorrow,try and find out more when there.

Hits is the mobile service promoted by Direct Telecom

You will probably end up with a tin can and a piece of string linked to the Movistar network and it will all be your fault when it doesnt work

You can then join the forum under an asumed name such as Angry Andrew and tell us how wonderful they really are and that it s really Telefonica that have screwed up

Dont have much choice, cant get to El Camison. Working at 6 tonight,
Working tomorrow morning then working at 6 again tomorrow night....

It had better work or my customers will be well p'sd off...

Andy, get to the Movistar shop, just up the road from the garage at the end of Silencio road.

Don't you have broadband? My texts to the UK also cost 90cents with my mobile, but I use the computer and get them for 4 cents. Also I get free calls to the UK and mobile numbers are only about 12 cents a minute........

I know you can't always have the computer with you, but go to the movistar shop, before trying DT

More news just come in ...... you will be able to accept calls, however dialing out will be disabled until you register.
