Im busy doing my self-assesment tax for our apartment has to be in for January as we do it online its too late now to post it it should allready be in. We did our tenerife letting tax when we were in tenerife a few weeks ago.

Everyone who is uk resident and lets there apartment should be submitting a self-assesment return (you all are off course) the tax you pay in Tenerife is decuctable ie you dont pay twice mortgage interest insurance and bills such as council tax community electic are also deductable and depriciation on furniture .

The uk goverment now knows who has a foriegn bank account as they share information my bank told me this in a letter.

In noting my figures a bit lower this year but used it more so less weeks let next year looking very good with many booked weeks everyone wanting to get out of the rain remember the tax mans watching you.

My daughters friend was late doing his tax return and was fined two hundred quid. He still didn`t do it and has now had a letter informing him he has been fined £6500. The best of it is he didn`t earn enough to pay any tax !!!
Don`t delay. They will get you !
