Ewwww don't aquayle!

You just brought back memories! Before I moved out here over 10 years ago, I was due to have surgery on my knees (years of Karate knackered them) but my surgeon said "Ah well if you're going to live in a warm climate, we might be able to put it off"

That was 10 years ago - so hadn't thought about it (well not too much) - But yes I do know that the facilities certainly exist here, I too am with DKV........And the medical expertise here is 2nd to none IMO....

So, my advice would be, If you really have to, then go for it. But if you can get by without surgery, well...........it's up to you

I had to have mine done when I was 17, with key hole. It was great afterwards, and not a problem since!

I have a fried who had the same op in Costa Adeje a few years ago on insurance, but I don't have any more info, sorry!

I would recommend USP Hospital in Costa Adeje too, I have just had a cataract operation there (on my insurance) and they were great.

Their telephone number is 922 792 400 or 922 752 626, hope this helps

I had the cartilage op about 10 years ago ait was painful but it sorted out the problem. Good luck

Very much the same as I am. Mine was due to 7 or 8 miles of cross country every day when I was young...No fancy trainers then just plimsolls...As a result I have no nail beds on either big toe and my knees are shot!!

Only time they're comfy is in the sun.. Which is a good reason to move!!!
Good to know they can be sorted though should the need arise!

Mine was also through running four times a week when I was young! Nike had just brought out the Wally Waffle running shoe. The world went mad for Wally Waffles, so named due to the pattern on the bottom of the shoe and named after Wally who invented it....genius!

I think the picture is a Nike Daybreak, which came just after the Waffle!

Still knackered up my knees mind you!!
