I don´t go evry year, living in Tenerife means we don´t need the sun cause we don´t live in a rainy place and tough we do have to work as well and do all the things everybody has to do, i think we don´t have the same stress level. Its been 3 years since my last hol.
At this very moment i´m in the Pyrenees, no ocean but GREEN mountains, i didn´t remember that nature could be green.
It is a bit hot here in Huesca, 35 degrees so i hope it will be nice cool in Tenerife when i go back next week.
I´m also gonna stop for 2 days in Warner Bros Park Madrid with my daughter.
can´thave everything, i also have to go back to work, poor me

I've been on holiday once back to the UK for 10 days in the last 3 years. I was ready to come home on the 3rd and it will be a while before I consider going again.

I've had a couple of weekends in Puerto de la Cruz and a 5 day break in Gran Canaria.

I did New York ( never again ) with a trip to Niagara a few years back in the middle of winter. -25 in Niagara, no tourists to speak of, 70€ for a suite in ''The Embassy suites'' overlooking the falls- Paradise

Mosquitos are huge though!
I must say Canarybird, you do take some beautiful photos!!!!

Didn't you like New York? It is one of the best trips I ever had. Las Vegas was pretty full on too.

I want to go skiing (or as I like to call it, falling with style). Really hanker after a bit of snow..

Default Wher do you gon on holday

The Thomsons round the Island cruise is wonderful value, especially if you book at the last minute. Runs from November to April.

We have been to the UK mostly from Tenerife (we are there now for a few months) & go away from here.

Have beebn on a QE2 cruise to Thailand, India, Seychelles, Mauritius & South Africa (prior to the Tsunami)

In November we are going to Oz via Hong Kong & back via Bangkok.

There is a whole world out there.

I got my fix of snow visiting New York this February - love the city - hope to keep visiting year after year, but probably between mid April & mid October in future.

Well we do private work on a Monday and Tuesday so we give them notice well in advance that we will be taking a week off. The holiday work tends to be linen changes on a Thursday and changeovers on a Friday. There are times of year when the holiday apts are very quiet. I look through for a week when we have no changeovers at all and we agree with the owners that for the linen changes we will leave double.

That said we've made friends with a local couple who do the same as us. She has been talking to us about helping them when they have a really busy Friday and them helping us when we have. We are going to cover for them in September when they take a week off. They have agreed to do some cover for us when we next decide to take a holiday.
