As we are using Ryanair for our first visit to Tenerife this year, and as Ryanair has a hold baggage allowance of 15 kilos, but a hand baggage allowance of 10 kilos, has anyone on the forum any suggestions of where I can purchase super lightweight suitcases.

I use Trip hand luggage (expensive but in the Debenhams Sale, you'll get it at a third of the price - at least)
When I first bought it, the staff were able to tell me which airlines accept which size of case as hand luggage. I was told that Aer Lingus accepted the size I bought but that Ryan Air didn't ............. I've travelled with Ryan Air since using it and never had a problem.

Excellent value for money, John Lewis have a similar bag.
The Ryan Air dimensions only differ on the depth and they have been lax for the last 18 months.

Come on, its RyanAir, they wouldn't turn anyone away, not if they have a credit card or cash!!!!!!
Yes, they'd just say, "That'll be umpty umpty pounds please madam"
My daughter had a bit of a hissy fit when told by checkin that her luggage was overweight. After a bit of arguing with the person, she started unpacking her case in front of the desk, strewing items all over the floor and giving them one by one to her partner, who wasn't travelling. Eventually after huffing and puffing, the woman said, "It's alright we'll let you off". Hehe
We bought Tripp suitcases from Debenhams in the sale last month - they were £49 each and measure 76cm x 48cm x 28cm (expanding to 32.5cm) and they weight only 3kg each. Thay also have wheels and you can get them in black, navy or red. We also got the cabin luggage to match (£34.99) and although that's a lot smaller its the same weight. They look really smart but I suppose after one holiday they will be battered and bruised just like the old ones!!!
Hope this helps.
