Default What Is La Finca In Chayofa Like?

Just looking for some info from you lovely forum members. What is the La Finca complex in Chayofa like? I think I read something somewhere about it being noisy with the building works, and the pool being dirty, but cant remember if it was about La Finca or not. Can anyone help??

Cyberhiker will be able to tell you, Polar, think he lives there or therabouts. I think it's in two phases, one better than the other ... but I can't remember now which way round it is!

I have answered Polar on 'the other side' as he posted on both forums. As I pointed out, the post regarding the so-called 'problems' on La Finca was a malicious post made by someone renting on the complex. They eventually made a full apology to the president and residents on the forum and admitted that it was a 'joke' she had cooked up with a neighbour. The thread was later removed. As I said in my previous response to Polar, La Finca is a lovely complex and we greatly enjoy living here.

Janet,
You are right, there are two phases, built separately but there is little to distinguish between the two. Ours in is phase 2 and does not face the pool, so is very quiet. Even so, out of the summer season, the pool area is extremely quiet too.

Exclamation La Finca

Hi I moved from La Finca about 3 months ago and I have to admitt its not the best complex I have lived on . The noise was rediculous because of the building work and the pool was not a nice place to swim in it was being referred to as the public toilet.

I would not advise a family with children to live there as it is not child friendly . I have a 8 year old daughter and everytime she went out to play she would come in and tell me some one complained about the noise . Someone said to me once that this is a complex for the retired. so why have they got 3 bedroom duplexes there I DON'T KNOW.

But at the end of the day everyone has thier own opinion

Strange that the person who made the original 'complaints' on the other forum and then had to retract them and apologise made exactly the same comments as in this post. Strange also that the person concerned is Welsh. Even stranger that this is the first post from this member.

YOU ADMIT TO LETTING YOUR 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER OUT TO PLAY ON HER OWN...THAT FACT ALONE TELLS ITS OWN STORY

You do realise thats a "criminal" offence in Spain ????

Apologies to the Mods for shouting but it needed to be said LOUDLY.

Really? If we had a house overlooking the pool, I would happily let my daughter go swimming. Is this against the law?

Not arguing, or trying to create tension, just curious.

Absolutely Peter. I think that in view of Cyberhiker's comments here, which are much appreciated, we can take this post with a HUGE pinch of salt, and consider it very likely indeed to be malicious.

I know generally of La Finca myself and have never heard anything remotely similar. I also know about 3 or 4 owners there, and apart from some problems with tenants, the complex has no problems of remotely the nature described.

I often suspect that such comments are the work of disgruntled tenants: I am not saying this is categorically the case here, but it wouldn't surprise me.

The balance seems overwhelmingly to suggest that La Finca is a fine place to live ... and of the owners I know, I'd consider living there myself if I was in the market for a quiet residential apartment in a good location.

Most definitely. Children under 13 must always be accompanied AT THE POOL by an adult.

As others have said, you should have been with her anyway, simply to comply with the law, but you would then also have been present to stop her making so much noise that people had to complain.
