That was a blatant case of breaking the law .. a very serious breach!

There is still time to notify the police. These stallholders usually have a fixed 'tour' and are traceable.
do you think i should i mean if you do that these people have cross bows which are very dangerous weapons of that the police make you go to court and then you start getting hassle i'm not a coward alb but i have seen these things happening before

Sorry Doreen. I meant an anonymous call. The police have such numbers. Published in the directory or on the web.

Good idea. The likelihood is that the stall holder may go regularly. I do understand people being reluctant to get involved as they can become victims. Victim Support Scotland are very good at advising on this sort of thing too.

I think knife carrying has gone up because of immigration. I dont mean this in a racist way or have a pop at any groups. The fact is that a lot of kids are fom countrys where life is cheap. They have seen ethnic cleansing and family and friends killed. They come here and dont get a proper education into our laws and carry knives as a matter of course as protection. They dont think twice about using them because they have come from places where there is no law. This has a knock on effect of other kids carrying.
The stop and search article is going to cause a lot of outcry but as ususal only from the people that have never been affected by knife crime. I think tough penaltys are called for. Kids do have to have rights but imo they have got too many and use this to exploit the law to their advantage
If the police dont get more powers their hands are tied and kids will carry on getting away with it..
The media show reporters speaking to kids who say they only carry for protection and these kids look like nice kids so other "nice" kids think its ok. How about the media showing some not "nice" kids banged up with a record and explain what carrying knives will mean if caught, not why you think you should HAVE to carry one...
Of course we could all sit back and say the usual "blame the parents".....

march last year my daughter was over and she got a call to say her friends mum had been stabbed to death in Southampton .Sarah was a carer in the community went to her usual weekley client .her husband tried to contact her during her day without success he contacted the company who never followed up why she never went to other clients .her husband drove around the area found her car .police turned up entered the house sarah and the client were found tied gaged and stabbed .the client had been dead for a week .
It was the clients partner who was eventually found in Dorset a few days later .he had only been out of prison a while for 2 violent rape attacks and only did half his sentance ..he should of been jailed for life for his previous attacks .
Anyone carrying knives only carry them to inflict harm on others .they use the excuse its for protection .B....ks.

Thanks for posting this it certainly highlights how useless the judicial system is here in the UK. I owned a salon once next door to a gun/knife shop I was horrified on more than one occasion to witness some of their clientelle unfortunately the Police were never around at the right times.

I agree with you that if this particular person had remained locked up after his orginal vile offense those women would probably still be alive, it's such a sad state of affairs.

the law in this country is a joke....my best mate was stabbed and killed three months ago, the monster who killed her was out of prison after serving 10 years for murder, he was recalled to jail last year for a violent public affray, but was let out of jail (again) six weeks later he killed my friend...

now tell me, where is the friggin justice in that??? so many lives have been ruined by our so called justice system

Once again proof that active and "old-fashioned" policing works. It worked in Essex too, as we saw HERE.

At what point will they get the message that the first and principal effort should be made in getting back the visible and modern equivalent of bobbies on the beat?
