Has anyone got a job going? I have been made redundant and now looking for something urgently, i was told i was going to be made redundant, settled up then transferred to another department, which all seemed to be going well until today.
I got made redundant, got settled up and filled in all the forms for my new contract of employment in my new position only for head office on the mainland to refuse me a new contract as it was "company policy" not to re-employ anyone who has been "paid off" until at least three months time from the payment was paid!
I could sign on the dole but i really don't want to do that.

So, can anyone offer a hard working decent, honest family man a job, i have experience in commercial driving (hgv 1 and minibus no psv licence though), customer services, sales and also owning and managing a bar.
Please PM me if you can think of anything or know of anyone, i am based near San Juan but if it is financially worthwhile to do so obviously don't mind travelling to work.

Normally its not that they wont employ anyone that has been 'paid off' its more likely that if you were fijo if they re employ you they are obliged to make you fijo again until 3 months passes and then you can start form scratch on their contract sytem.

cant you ask them if this is the case and if they can offer you a contract under a different company name?? most transport company have a few different sl's
