well language is continually evolving ... new expressions come & go ...

so just start saying "perro come perro" and you could start a trend (said in a gruff slightly inebriated voice it sounds good to me )

(but perhaps best not to say it to a dog owner without further explanation ?)

Never been able to work out the logic behind sudando como un pollo (sweating like a chicken).

OT I suppose because not a falso amigo.

Just Googled it - it is often pollo asado - so roast(ed) (on a spit?)

We have a phrase "sweat like a pig" - confusing for Spaniards, no doubt

Esp Antes que te cases mira lo que haces
Trans before you marry look what you do
eng look before you leap

ESP Comer frijoles y repetir pollo
Trans To eat beans and belch chicken
eng his bark is mighter than his bite
ESP Yo tengo una tia que toca la guitarra
Trans i have an aunt who plays the guitar
eng whats that got do with the price of eggs in china

what a load of twaddle sorry about some of the letter's don't have a Spanish keyboard
