An on-line Spanish resource - brilliant
I have just found out about this website which is run by the University of Texas.
What you have is little video clips of various people saying a paragraph about something in Spanish, graded from basis to advanced. The really good thing about it is that at the same time you have the text to follow, which you can switch from Spanish to English, or no text at all, so you can get used to listening and following what is being said. Then you can pinpoint individual sentences if you need to.
The speakers are all from various Latin American countries, but I guess they are making an effort to minimize their accents for the camera. The differences are quite interesting. Much easier than Canarian, anyway!!
For a start, try 'counting to ten' with Isadora Hennig.

This site looks brill but I can't play any of the clips. It tells me that I need additional plugins so I searched and installed Apple Quicktime as instructed but the message is still appearing. Help please!

Where's @torrenter when we need him? Keep trying, the clips are worth it.
I am the worst person to ask - I run Windows Vista 64-bit, and Quicktime's plugin has never worked under this OS yet.
Quicktime have just released version 10 (which doesn't work for me, of course) - so maybe this would work better on other's systems?
Sorry I can't be more helpful on this one
