In an effort to combat chronic lack of memory, I have written a little MS Access database which tests my Spanish. It consists of a table of English expressions and their Spanish equivalents, taken from a book on Spanish grammar. The prog takes a random English expression, and you have to respond with the Spanish. If you get it right, it doesn't appear again. If you get in wrong, later it comes up twice. If you get it wrong again, you have to get it right 4 times before it forgets (There are phrases I have had to type in 32 times). The program is so infuriating, but i find it effective.

The table of expressions is just my choice, the table could be reconstructed to accommodate any expressions you please, it is totally flexible.

Sounds fascinating ... and email on the way ... dying to see some sample phrases ... how about a few on here .... are they all "that wasn´t in the bloody committee meeting minutes" sort of stuff and "you cannot be serious " - in response to Town Hall demands
