This is a problem with some blocks - Karma is another one I have heard people have had difficulty getting their deposits back - the best advice is to take dated photos as soon as you move in. That way you can prove the state of the apartment/furnishings and to tell the agent that you have done so. Also be sure to read your contract carefully and make sure you give the correct notice when you want to leave.

Unless things have changed, since I ran an office in Fanabe Plaza near by, it is owned by a Spanish Lawyer & his wife.

They are very keen on keeping money for the final clean. They actually went around with a white glove checking all nooks and cranies and even the external balconies. I was fore warned, however I used to own a cleaning company in the UK and there was not one company in a 50 mile radius that could meet our standard, especially on blitz cleans, domestic cleans and commercial cleans, we even had contracts for the large well known Heritage Houses in Notts, Derbyshire and South Sheffield.
