Probably depends on the status of his NI contributions

He is, like Janet, an ultimate professional at what he does, hence why Janet is now his point of contact for all such enquiries for Spain and The Canaries.

However, if you have an existing policy in the UK or abroad and are interested to see if he can lower your premiums, contact Janet for his details as well. You may also like to talk to him to see if you have cover for what you think you need. Not many policies holders actually understand what there policy will and will not cover.

An example of his ability and work in the market place....................

Last week I put him in touch with a friend who had a policy for his staff in his employment. He was paying 2300 per year. Janet's contact reviewed the policy, ADDED more benefits and brought it down to 700 per year.

So, for all your health care and private medical insurances, speak to Janet.
Interesting post - which raises loads of questions, from us at least.
1. Can this person therefore create Private Medical plans for individuals of any age?
2. As an example - could he do a plan for a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids.
3. What would be the price and what cover do they get.
4. If he can do the above we'd like contact details pls.
5. Why is an employer covering medical expenses for his employees - so lng as he has life and accident cover sufficient to comply with whichever convenio the business comes under then he is legally covered and is miles cheaper than a private medical plan for all employees.

I just wondered are they entitled to any coverage over here by some reciprocal agreement or is it just the E111 which only covers emergencies.

They will find it hard and expensive at their age to get private coverage.

I told them I would ask on the all knowing forum so who knows all??
If your clients need medical insurance as part of a travel insurance policy then TIS can issue policies, no age limit and with a medical screening which will cover pre-exisiting conditions. The only issue is where will they claim residency?
This option is cheaper than Private Medical plan for most pensioners.
Give TIS a ring on 922735672.

PS When traveling from the UK you should get an EHIC card which replaced the E111.

He has asked me only to put him in contact with clients direct, not brokers. I'm sorry.

So A broker can't ask for his own family?

I'm just saying what I've been asked to say. Sorry, I'm not going to argue. Presumably a broker would have his own contacts. Mine will only deal with individuals so that he can offer them the best deal without any commissions coming into play ... my referrals to him are completely commission free.
