Sorry Janet but this smacks of something fishy. If a peson genuinely claims to be able to help individuals get a good private health insurance for themselves and there family yet is not prepared to help a family that also happens to be in the same type of business, then it would appear to me they have something to hide and everybody else on the forum should beware!
Is there actually any body else on the forum that can independantly verify this illusive persons credentials?
Sorry Janet, you appear to have a good reputation, but the way this is being advertised, on an island reknown for shady dealers, surely you can see the point.

No, I'm afraid I can't. And your aspersions are offensive. In the extreme.

There are a handful of forum members I have passed onto this chap. He doesn't want to deal with brokers because they add on commission. Nothing fishy ... at least not his end.

If you want it for yourself, then that's a shame. I used to be in the estate agency business for a while and I know how difficult it is to get someone's trust.

You are not going to bully this person's name out of me. And I really would appreciate it if you wouldn't cast shadows on my honesty. If you want references for this person, Treble99 knows him. Perhaps you'd consider him a bit "fishy" too.

End of, as far as I'm concerned.

well we will have to agree to disagree.
I fully stand by what I have said.
If anybody asks me a question about my profession I am prepared to answer that irrespective of what line of business they are in. I have nothing to hide and would hope that people I deal with don't either.
Also, this question has nothing to do with commissions. I have never intimated that I want to earn anything from the referral, except to help my own family, if possible, but clearly not in this case.
I would just reinterate my caution to anybody else on the forum who reads this thread and gets the introduction.. caveat emptor!

HL, please accept Janets reply, she has answered you honestly, even if you do not like the reply.

Her contact will deal with private individuals not brokers of which you are a broker. It is not personal or Janets doing.

She is not earning a penny from any of the recommendations, so there is nothing 'fishy' what so ever at all. Please do not insinuate otherwise.

You are a broker for insurance & I am sure you are more than capable of finding health insurance for your family, hopefully this is the end of the matter now.

Sorry Princess but you have missed the point ( although I am sure Janet will appreciate you jumping in to try and defend her), but please understand the thread.

1. I have accepted janets reply.
2. The question about earning commissions is irrelevant, because under DGS rules governing insurance regulation in Spain I cannot work with this individual, even if they are legally registered and I have never mentioned commissions or insinuated that I wish to work with them commercially.
3. Yes we have private medical insurance, but why can't a person fending for his family seek alternative companies/prices ?

Hi Janet,
As I stated it is not your reputation or honesty etc, that is being queried but the person whom you are saying can get people a great deal on private health insurance.

As promised this is now posted here in the thread as you requested.
