Sorry Briz but that argument doesn't cut it.

If an American tourist walks into a restaurant in my home town, he pays exactly the same as me.

That's the way it should be.

I can kinda understand a "locals" discount, insofar as locals wages are about a third of those in the UK and other more "afluent" parts of the world.

Perhaps some of the thinking is that, with a discounted rate, those of us who live here and have guests over to stay regularly would probably suggest a visit, especially if it is as good as it should be.

Equally I can also understand how that might leave a slightly bitter taste in the mouth of holiday makers.

Remember though, when you are sitting on the plane coming here, the chances are that the people next to you paid a different price for their seat - depends who and when they bought it from......

Yes but the only other musical night time excursion is the sound of musicals, costs 49€ includes food and drink , but hey most people on holiday here are already on all inclusive so why pay for what you already have.

The show is top notch I assure you as their lighting designer.
and no we looked at going on tour but costs were prohibative and we are all Tenerife residents . so why go on tour , far too complicated.

Judge for youself , come and see the show.

I don't see why people are getting annoyed about the residents discount. Lots of attractions/tours etc have a residents discount. Look at the travel discount you get on the ferries for example.

I probably won't be going, as it seems pricey without any food included.

But, I did the The Wall, and the quality of both the artistes and the sound/lighting techs was 1st class.

Wish Viana all the best with this new show....

Where are those reviews then????????..............................

I wasn't getting annoyed - I just asked about the thought process behind it. As a visitor to Tenerife, I wouldn't like to be paying more than the next person to the same show simply because they were residents - purely my thoughts on the matter but I wonder if it would deter others?

Again, I am not trying to have a go or anything as I honestly believe that successful shows of this type are great news for Tenerife. Anything that gets someone talking about the Island in a positive way has to be good for Tenerife.

I think it is an outrageous practice.

If I know a place is doing it, I won't go there. Their loss.

I will not be ripped off.
