Indeed they are - you don't even get a time in Golf del Sur. You just have to guess so I;m afraid we stick to the car.

You pay for your travel up front by purchasing the Bono card - this has a swipe strip on it.

As you get on the bus you swipe it and tell the driver where you are going - the card then get debited the journey amount.

Set periods? I guess there is a limit but would be well beyond most holiday makers stay period.

The Bono card get discounts on travel and stops the need to get money out each time.

The 30 euro card gets you further that is all - I would recommend getting a 12 euro first as you may find it not your thing.

The Titsa.com does now show timetable TIMES (although I could not get it to work).

I went with my Mum and two kids on the bus to Santa Cruz this week and we used a Bono Card. The driver only charged for three of us because the little guy is only 4 so we got there and back for the grand total of €22. I prefer going to SC by bus because its a lot less hassle.

If anyone is interested in the journey, I wrote about it on the blog (second link below). The bus took forever getting there making Mum late for her Candelaria appt. but apart from that, plain sailing and a good time had by all. The kids even slept all the way back so that was a bonus.

Never had any trouble parking in SC. We always go down towards the docks and park there. It's only a few minutes walk to Plaza de Espana and costs 90 cents an hour.

That's true Gandalf, but only if you are planning on staying round Calle De Castillo and the shopping area otherwise its a PITA trying to figure out how to get where you want to go. The other benefit is that at least I don't have to listen to him-indoors swearing and cursing at the one way system when I am on the bus.
