XII Festival of Theatre and Dance in Adeje between 31 October and 27 November

Adeje Ayuntamiento will be presenting the XII Festival of Theatre and Dance between 31 October and 27 November. This year’s Festival has focused on Canarian scenic arts and the educational focus they can bring to drama. Five works will be performed, by professional companies, and the programme is as follows:

* Saturday, 31 October, 7.30pm. Garoé, performed by the Teatro KDO Company, in the street bordering Plaza César Manrique. For all ages.
* Friday, 6 November, 9pm. Impresiones, performed by the EntreDanza Company, in the Cultural Centre. For all ages.
* Friday, 13 November, 9pm. Luz más luz, performed by the Helena Turbo Teatro Company, in the Cultural Centre. For over 10s.
* Friday, 20 November, 9pm. La Loca de la casa, performed by Burka Teatro, in the Cultural Centre. For all ages.
* Friday 27 November, 8pm. El Sexo Sentido, performed by the Joel Angelino Company, in the Cultural Centre. For over 16s.

Tickets for all performances are now available in Adeje Cultural Centre at €6, or €5 minors or pensioners.

This Friday, 13 November, the Helena Turbo Teatro Company will perform Luz más luz in Adeje Cultural Centre at 9pm. The performance is intended for all over 10 years of age, and dramatizes some of the creative journalistic pieces of Canarian writer Mercedes Pinto, who passed much of her life in exile in South America. This is a very female-centred musical drama, not only on the stage, but also in director Helena Romero, who has created an emotional and passionate piece of theatrical entertainment.
