Default A Michelin Star for a Tenerife restaurant

The only Michelin star awarded in Tenerife has been given to the restaurant MB in Abama, Guia de Isora. Can anybody here afford it?

Canarias24

Correction: the only restaurant in the Canaries.

From what I can see HERE, it's an average price of 130 Euros per person, with an emphasis on white truffles (apparently even in the puddings), eels in puff pastry, Basque farmhouse eggs (again with white truffles), forgotten tubers () ... and (again with white truffles) pigeon encrusted in its own liver ...

Tell you what, keep your Michelin stars, there are times I'm glad I'm no gourmet.

Doesn't sound like Michelin Star to me. all the products are imported.

The truffles made me laugh. We once went for a meal somewhere in Candelaria.
I think the owner had bought a job lot of tinned apricots. They were with everything.
Starter, main meal, desert.
To top it all off when the coffee came there was a thin slice of apricot with a squirt of cream on the saucer

Sorry back on topic

For dinner tonight, we've got oven baked pork chops, carrots, mushrooms and pastry crisps cooked in the same tin, in which I'll also be making gravy in a minute. Served with cauliflower cheese and peas.

Not a michelin star or truffle in sight.

Know which I'd prefer!
