iv always wondered why you would fly 8 or 9 hrs to go to Cancun or the Dominican to stay in a for example riu hotel on all inclusive when you can fly to main land spain stay in the same hotel chain.
Whats the diffrence if you dont leave the hotel save the long flight and im always telling people to get out and see what Tenerife has to offer.
Its a shame they want to spend all there time in the hotel dont know what there missing and just a few days out would make there holiday complete. David

i've never understood this frame of mine. personally, i would never go all inclusive on any holiday - part of the idea is to get to know a different culture and its traditions, cuisine etc.; hotel food would never do that any justice.

There are some people who I suppose think they need a lack of stimulus or lack of decision-making whilst on holiday. Perhaps as a nurse, she needs to feel that everything is done for her for once, and she needs to do nothing in return.

I can understand not wanting to eat out, but missing the chance to visit the amazing volcano - what a pity.

Each to his/her own.

Each to there own. Perhaps that is how they like to spend thier holidays. Some like hiking, bike riding, the beach, museum's etc.... some just to be lazy

I've never fancied an African holiday on the grounds that one is effectively put in a compound ... like being in prison, I've always thought. Why anyone would do that to oneself ...
Exactly it brings to mind a picture of the locals coming along to stare at the Brits locked up in the zoo, mind you plenty go to Tenerife and do not leave PDLA or LC, I have heard people say LC is too Spanish, errm well it is in Spain, so to speak!
I think secretly what a lot of these Brits want is the weather exported to Britain along with the cheaper prices. At least it would avoid the problem of getting on the wrong plane!! ooops sorry to bring that back up again in another thread, I still can't belive it, I really do need to get a life!
