The Underground Bar - El Medano

Tonight we went down to the underground bar in el medano to watch a live band called 'SHAME'

They were fabulous, real musicians, great guitar playing & drums & a lead singer called Sandy' so versatile it took your breath away.

Everything from Police, to jimi Hendrix, to Stevie wonder and Amy whinehouse. Blues, Soul & Rock.

They rocked the place, most folk where up dancing, the atmosphere was amazing.
The band so good I would have paid - which we didn't have to.

Live music every friday eve, we didnt get there until 11.00 when it began to fill up.

We will deffo go back & take visitors down there to see this band.

we went last week. the band is very good but i didn't like the acoustics in the bar and that there aren't many places to sit down. prices were good, though, and it's something different!

John said same about acoustics, it,s similar to an underground cave isn't it -

reminds me of the cavern in Liverpool but smaller...

I was lucky and bagged a stool too...

yes, when we first arrived, we got two stools at the far end of the bar... but we couldn't hear the band that well, as the people talking around us seemed louder than the music. later on we ended up by the tables on the other side of the wall, and i finally sat down, as i didn't want to be standing - the sound was just as bad there.
