Recently, my daughter and her boyfriend visited us, and did the Masca walk, taking the boat back to Los Gigantes.
They set off at 9.30am and had plenty of time to catch the 1.30pm boat.
Afterwards, they said "It's brilliant - you have to do it!"
Seems to me that perhaps it would be better to do it as a TTF group if possible. I saw a TITSA bus stop at Masca, but cannot see which route goes there on the TITSA website. I know the 325 goes from Los Gigantes back to Santiago del Teide.
Help? Ideas?

Dunno mate, but count me in 'cos I'm very interested. I think we could easily count on one or two energy-challenged members (e.g. Janet - Land Rover takes 4 passengers ) to dump us at one end of the walk and pick us up at the other end. That would make the plan more flexible than using pubic transport.

It's darned annoying - I saw the Masca TITSA bus stop, and assumed I could find out which number later
If no bus to Masca, then probably a lift to Masca, then a lift back from Santiago del Teide would work, because I KNOW the 325 goes from Los Gigantes to SdT. Less work for the drivers, and for those without transport, the 460 from SdT goes back towards civillisation via the TF82.
My daughter did the Adeje barrancho walk, and the Masca walk, and said the Masca walk is 100 times better.
@CFGirl: All downhill, with a boat ride at the end (and a swim in the bay, if you are able)

could it be that the buses going through masca are only going between santiago and the west/buenavista?
i think a drop off in masca would have to be arranged and people would have to leave their car in los gigantes prior to the trip because how else would you get from los gigantes back to masca to pick up your car?

Hi everyone, we stay in Puerto and would love to go on some 'organised' walks, but most of guided walks are in German, anyone know of any English speaking guides. I would love to get together out of Puerto.
<snip>I'd be more than happy to do a drop off and pick up .....
Are you not even a little bit tempted to join in the walk, @Janet?
My daughter said; "It's easier than the Barrancho del Inferno walk, but some places I had to slide down on my bum"
You can't do the walk in sandals (even with socks ) but she reckoned the scenery was "the best I have ever seen in Tenerife"
"Metal legs" @cyberhiker goes up the Masca walk, but for mere motrals it's all downhill and quite leisurely.
