The British Consulate-General in Madrid issues full 10 year passports for adults and 5-year passports for under 16s.

You will need to submit:
* A completed C1 application form for adults
HERE or C2 application form for under-16s
HERE (the C1 application form notes or C2 application form notes will help with completing the forms); You must sign completely within the signature box and get the form countersigned by someone of appropriate standing; You must also include a daytime telephone contact number and your normal address in Spain.
* 2 passport size photos, meeting the Passport photo standards as described
HERE; one of these photos must also be countersigned by your nominated countersignatory.
* Originals of any supporting Documents required as described
HERE.
* The biometric Passport fees and courier fee as described
HERE.
It takes about two full weeks to process all routine passport applications from receipt of a properly completed application. There is no fast track service unless extremely compassionate circumstances apply, e.g. death, accident or serious injury. Documentary evidence (e.g. a letter from a doctor) of this would be required.

Emergency Passports are issued from the surgeries by appointment only. In South Tenerife, the surgeries are on Mondays and Thursdays between 10am and 1.30pm.
