You need to apply at the Post Office for an application form, taking ID and evidence of where you live. You can fill it in on the spot. Cost is about €50 a year ... if there are any boxes available.
Can anyone advise on the process to get a PO Box in Tenerife and any idea of the cost?
Usually dead men's shoes I'm afraid Signy they are normally calendar years - at least in Pto Stgo & Guia de Isora so late Dec early Jan is a good time to apply.
i think it's more than 50€ the first time, though. we use ours together with the previous owner of our house (hubby's friend), he no longer lives in tenerife, so i asked about changing the name of the p.o.box holder and the guy at the post office advised me not to, as it was very expensive (something like 80€ or so?), so i imagine just signing up for a new box might be a bit more expensive than the annual rental, too. we pay a little bit less than 50€ a year. and i wouldn't want to be without a p.o.box!

Re: Po Box
Also be aware that the box is for one person only, not one address. A couple living at the same address have to pay twice to receive letters in the box addressed to two different people. And your cat would have to pay the same as well.
