Default Rodeo -BBQ restaurant Fanabe

We have been a number of times since we have lived here but never again.

I try to give a place a couple of tries before condemnation !

The price is 17.50 Euros per Adult, which is ok, they must make up the bill on the drinks.

The salad bar is very varied but over time the salt content has increased dramatically to the point of being inedible A real shame as the salad bar was the best around for variety.

The meat that is brought to the table on skewers is smothered in salt crystals so you need to drink lots of water or whatever your poison is !

You only need a table ajoining yours with children & due to the accoustics of the place you cannot hear yourself think can't get the bill fast enough !

That is me & any visitors done with there now

The excess salt is probably added to up your intake of drink if that's how they're making their money up Honey. Think I'll give that place a miss can't abide salt!

Me neither, you don't need it on your food and of course anyone who has high blood pressure shouldn't be taking it either ....................

Or heart trouble. I haven't touched it since my illness last year.

Sadly I will not be returning for that reason,

It was disgusting

The theme along the Brazilian BBQ, the great salad bar etc. is good, it is just the very overdone salt now even in the salad bar things are awful !

Hey ... you are complaining about my (almost) most favourite restaurant - I eat lunch there 2 to 3 times a week. I havenīt noticed any particular over salting (and I am not that keen on a lot of salt). Yesterday there I had the rice (no salt at all) the roasted peppers & pan fried courgettes - and added some salt to it. I have never noticed the meat as being too salty either. Am very surprised to hear your comments. I will be having lunch there again tomorrow, so will sample the salad bar to test.

Only thing I agree with you is the sound level - not the place to go for a quiet romantic chat.

EDIT - and for anyone else tempted to try El Rodeo, they are about to close for their annual one monthīs holidays, starting 23rd June

I do say always give a place a chance or two, Sorry Doreen, I just can't return, this is the 3rd go now, it is carnage to encurst the wonderful cuts of meat with all the salt crystals, you are actually crunching on them now they have done it to the salad bar too, all the lovely mixes were full of it, just dreadful, it was not just me, all of us tonight are now drinking enitire lakes of water, where we are so thirsty

Enjoy your lunch tomorrow anyway

Must say I agree with Princess. Last time we went the meat was SO salty. We drank litres of water and ended up waking in the night and drinking more.

I must say the salt was so excessive that we won't be returning either

Please do, you did scare me then but I see the 'other posts' have been moved !

I would be back in a flash if they cut out the salt !! I love the ethos of the place, if he padded the ceiling for the sound issue, HRH would be happy too !!!
Good luck
