Exactly

And just as importantly, it would tie everything up so he couldn't be moved because it would all be part of a judicial action.

Default Live Arico

Id just like to remind everyone that i am responsible for Live Arico being where they are, the owners have asked me to remove the dogs or they will take action against me and then i will lose my business, then there will be homeless horses aswell as dogs. The owners have been more than fair to us in allowing the dogs to be there. We need a permanant solution , somewhere where the dogs can have a proper home, Eugenio needs our help and i for one will do the best i possibly can to help him. I do not want any trouble or problems for the owners of the ranch, they are not being unreasonable. We need a solution and if all you animal lovers all pull together and help us then theres no reason why we cannot find a proper home for Live Arico so Eugenio can carry on helping the dogs.

Tia,
I will help any way I can, I have offered via SuzyQ to have a collection tin in the shop here, if you can get it here I will do the rest !

Raffle prizes, call me when you need something, posters, petitions too.

Also we advertise in C. Weekly, along with other businesses, so if we all asked for them to support you, I am sure they will in a very visual way, to keep their advertisers happy !

Is there no way that Arico can work with other animal charities here? Surely they are all in a similar situation, at least in terms of an ongoing problem with needing money.

Off the top of my head, there are K9, Dingo Dogs and a German one near the windmills: they're all in a similar 'mess' and need more money, better facilities. There was quite a bit of publicity in the English press a while ago about them all working together as 'one voice', but then it seemed to evaporate.

Similarly, the Cabildo support offered to K9 could surely be put to really good use if these charities worked together.

Is there any reason why these charities remain separate?

Got a reply from the Bard copied below;

There is a member of the Cabildo who promised to help K9 at the time
of all the trouble over the Tony Christie gig that wasnt happening. K9
met with this councillor and he is helping them as far as I know. If
someone could dig up that story or ask K9 and contact him he might do
something. it was in the papers months back when all that was going on
and the guy is friendly to the animal shelter movement here. id have a
look myself but right now I have to work seeing as im behind.

Dont know if its of any help, but maybe a direction as Janet has mentioned above?

Default Arico problem

for the long term instead of people buying new dogs why aren't we encouraging more people to adopt and reduce the breeding programmes

I still find it difficult to understand how anyone can abandon a pet!

To be honest I have abandoned a pet, I had no choice. She was a gourgeous geordie girl, a real pet but she had no sense of humor, so i abandoned her on the A1 and went home.
