As many of you know, I am involved with Live Arico and try to do my bit for Eugenio in his quest to save abandoned animals here in Tenerife. It is our birthday party next Friday the 4th April at the Bier Keller, Karting Las Americas, tickets €20 to include supper and the Sound of Musicals show. We still have tickets left, please please come, we need to pack put the venue. PM me for tickets.

Eugenio from LIve Arico and his 130 dogs are about to be made homeless. Its no ones fault, the arrangement was always temperory, but he needs land now, and quick. If anyone knows of anyone with land where he could go until something more permanent is found, or knows anyone with land to rent, please pm me. I cannot stress enough how serious this is. Somebody somewhere here in Tenerife must be able to help!!

Also contact the Canarian Newspapers, Diario de Avisos, El Dia etc., I´m sure they would run a story that would have a much wider audience

What a god awful shame. I used to talk to Tia about this day, the day when Eugenio would have to leave. We went through every possibility we could think of regarding him obtaining a new place for him and his dogs and what we could do to try and find some land but, we always hit a brick wall.

For once, I have not the foggy-est what to suggest that has not already been suggested.

So sad!

We have rustico land in San Miguel that has a big water tank on it. The land is just outside San Miguel village itself, and on a truely quiet road ( there is only one other house about 1km down the road) and barranco across the road, so essentially nobody else around and fantastic views all the way down to the sea - not that the doggies will be sitting there watching the sunset every evening.

Too good to be true? No, but there is one problem, its overgrown now with shrubs. Maybe somebody has a contact who has a digger or something to easily clear part of the land - 7000 sq meters in total, so plenty big enough.

If we all pull together we could sort this "opportunity" out. poor doggies....

A really nice suggestion - but surely you would need some kind of licence? you can't just house over 100 dogs without some kid of permission from the local council, or can you?

You also can't just get the diggers into rustic land without permission ...

You know what I would do..................I would just do it and sort any problems out afterwards. What have you got to lose!

Get the digger in and move!
