Tenerife Sur Lions organise annual holidays to give disadvantaged children and their carers to and from Tenerife for the holiday of a lifetime.

All Lions Clubs are autonomous and although each club is part of an international organisation, it arranges its own fundraising activities and community service.

Clubs stage a wide variety of events and activities such as sponsored swims, walks, raffles, bar collection boxes, barbeques and golf days - to name but a few!

But Lions Clubs are not just fund raisers. The Lions moto is 'We Serve'.

You can visit their Charity Shop in Costa del Silencio for great bargains!

So don't forget the Lions.

If anyone wants to donate clothing, shoes, books household items etc., you can take them to the charity shop in Costa del Silencio, round the corner from Coral Mar Square

Caz, I am dissappointed to say the least here, we have offered to have a collection box for 2 of the charities, no one can be bothered to drop one off, even after reminding

To top it all, we offered (free of course) computers, printers, monitors etc. that have been given to us, donated by forum members too or have been traded in & are working & serviced but no one has come from the Lions, no call.... nada

The Lions do a lot of good work! The Charity shop is great and I am sure you will find something there Jennie. It is only open certain hours and I cant remember the times, maybe someone on here will be able to help.

I support two charities here in tenerife, and a third by way of a friend, they are the Lions, K9 and Live Arico. On Saturday 8th Nov I will be presenting the annual quiz night for the lions in Guaza. Please come, The food is good and the quiz will be fun, that's a promise.

I wish it was possible to help more charities, but there are only so many hours in a day
