Arona Municipality’s official Christmas programme has been unveiled, with some of the most eagerly-awaited events as follows. The full programme, in pdf format, is HERE.

3 December:
7.30 pm, performance of “Un regalo lleno de Navidad” (A present full of Christmas) by Platoon Show performed through the streets of Los Cristianos.
8.30 pm, the great switch-on of Los Cristianos’ Christmas lights. Church square.
9.15pm, inauguration of the municipal Belén (Nativity scene), with a performance by the Arona Folklore School. Los Cristianos Cultural Centre.

10 December:
5 pm, “Scandinavian night”. Opening of the Scandinavian Exhibition, with stands from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, in the main hall of the Cultural Centre, Los Cristianos.
8 pm, musical performances by the Finnish Folklore Group “Hannat ja Heikit”. Patio of the Los Cristianos Cultural Centre.

13 December:
9 pm, Gospel Festival, with visiting American group “The Georgia Mass Choir”. Patio of the Los Cristianos Cultural Centre.

20 December:
8 pm, Christmas Carols with popular Canarian group “Laguneros”. Patio of the Los Cristianos Cultural Centre.

31 December:
10 pm, New Year’s Eve party with music from Wamanpy and Sensación Gomera, fireworks, and many surprises. Los Cristianos Fairground.

2 January:
8.30 pm, New Year’s Concert in the Patio of the Los Cristianos Cultural Centre.

5 January:
7.15 pm, Parade of Sus Majestades los Reyes (the three kings) Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar. The normal route will be followed, from Los Cristianos port, up Avenida Suecia, and through Church Square up to the Cultural Centre.
