Default British passenger's panic attack causes London-Tenerife flight to divert to Madrid.

A 53 year-old British passenger on an Air Europa flight from London to Tenerife suffered a panic attack of such severity that the flight was diverted to Madrid Barajas, where he was given medical assistance after the flight landed safely at 4pm today.

The man refused to continue the journey and was allowed to disembark. The aircraft took off at 5pm to complete its journey to Tenerife.

You know Janet I HATE flying, but I think I would have been more scared of the
other people on the flight for diverting them to Madrid

A friend of mine was on this.

I saw him a few weeks later. He still had the marks on his face from the crash and told me how he envied me for taking flying lessons.

OMG bet the passengers were not amused, luckily my flight was great on way home but the family I met over there did not have such an easy time. There was a gentleman in the airport that sadly passed away in front off them

I pity the man..and to be honest I would have just accepted the situation..the mans health should come first..the passengers arrived in Tenerife eventually.."Thats Life"

That's the one. My friend came through it ok (emotionally). His wife refused to fly home though. They were toward the rear and apparently everyone in front of them died.
