Default Ryanair announces flights from TFS to Glasgow, Stansted and Liverpool, with an opening offer of €1 including taxes.

Ryanair is opening new routes from Tenerife with flights from 1€. The company announced earlier today the inauguration of its new route to Glasgow Prestwick (twice weekly). In the next few days there will be four further routes to London Stansted (three times a week), Liverpool (three times a week), Bremen (twice weekly), and Dusseldorf (three times a week). All these flights will be from TFS.

To celebrate the new routes, Ryanair will be offering flights at 1€ (one way, inclusive of taxes). Anyone interested should go to the company's website www.ryanair.com as soon as possible, the company said, because the demand should be enormous.

Well I think this is good news, they wouldn't fly here if they thought there was no money in it. I saw on the 'Monarch' web site the other day that they are putting extra flights on to Tenerife because of the demand. So much for the crisis and no money being about?

I just checked a few random dates for next spring between Prestwick and Tenerife and they are coming in at not much over £100 return including all taxes. Really handy from our famlies in Newcastle and all our pals in Glasgow to visit. Hang on what am I saying here?

But how much of the demand is due to the £/$ ratio?

Surely Tenerife is bound to benefit from the weakening of the £ against the $.

I was talking to a very experienced award winning travel agent on Saturday and he was saying that his US and $ based destination bookings have fallen off recently and he was not expecting an upturn in them, he did agree that this should signal a regeneration in the Canary Island and in particular Tenerife bookings.

I hope they do fly back again! It's nice to have a site where one can book a return flight from Tenerife though!

Those free flights are brilliant value, just want to stress that these new routes have this introductory offer of €1 including taxes.
