Re: The new junctions for San Isidro will open in around a week
The press is reporting "circulation chaos" after the "partial opening" of the San Isidro access! Businesses have criticized the works being done and causing so much disruption so close to the critical Christmas period.
According to El Dia, the partial opening of the new access for San Isidro "failed completely yesterday causing total traffic chaos during the rush hour, which caused great bad feeling for residents and business alike".
Not that brilliant at logistics, here, are they .....

Yes it did cause chaos,my boyfriend and my daughter sat there for over half an hour just trying to get off the motorway, it is complete madness up there at the moment, they have now made two roundabouts instead of a junction, half the new road is open so ALL the traffic is now going on one exit off the motorway and its STUPID. Why they didnt open it all at the same time I'll never know

Probably worked out the traffic flow on the back of an envelope in a howling gale while dodging traffic on the lanes that were open when the architect turned up unexpectedly ... and two months late .....

It was a bit better today, and they have a lot of people working on the other lanes, so I think that they may have realised their mistake and are speeding things up a little!!!!
Ah but this is Tenerife.... ok back to the rest being finished by feb!!!!
