A Spanair plane abandoned attempts on Saturday to leave Tenerife after two failed efforts to take off. After the second attempt, it needed to brake so hard that some of the 74 passengers were injured.
The flight was bound for Seville, and passengers had to disembark and board an alternative Spanair plane. Not sure I'd have got on it, to be honest.
The plane was taken to be investigated by technicians, with the captain telling passengers there had been brake problems. Thankfully, they'd worked well enough when it had to brake after the second abortive attempt.
