Default The Public is asked not to drive up Teide for the moment while roads are closed due to weather

The public has been asked to avoid going up Teide because the state of the roads is dangerous at the moment. The TF14 via La Esperanza remains closed, specifically at the junction with the TF24 (Arafo junction). The TF21 (La Orotava-Teide) is closed anyway between El Portillo and El Parador for roadworks.

The roads will be opened again as soon as possible, but for the moment, the public are asked to assist by staying away.

Default Re: The Public is asked not to drive up Teide for the moment while roads are closed due to weather

I went up to mount Teide yesterday, wednesday, going up from Guia De Isora (Chirche), then had heavy rain until Las Canñadas, In the crater it was dry but cloudy. Driving down in La Orotava, raining again and roadworks but not very much.
I have not taken the road to La Esperanza.
It is more fun when it is dry
