Youth arrested for throwing large stone at the TF5 and shattering the windscreen of a travelling car

The Guardia Civil has arrested a 17-year-old for throwing a large stone at the TF5 near Los Limoneros in the direction of Puerto de la Cruz. The stone hit a windscreen of a car on the motorway and shattered it completely. The driver was mercifully unhurt.

I thought we'd left this sort of mindlessness behind in the UK. It was a fairly regular occurrence on the M60.

He seems to be being held on road safety charges, but I agree, it should be treated as much more serious than that.

I bit different but I was on a train once when three little bas---ds threw a stone from a bridge and smashed the window. I saw it coming but it was so fast I could do nothing. It was like a bomb going off, the whole window disappeared. They must have only been 10 or 12 years old. Luckily no one hurt.
