The body of a 60-year-old British man who disappeared on Thursday afternoon was spotted by fishermen yesterday morning at Punta Blanca. It was recovered by teams of Guía de Isora Policia Local and voluntary bomberos: wind and sea conditions meant that the recovery of the body took two hours. The man had been on holiday in an hotel in Los Gigantes, and it appears that he drowned while swimming, though an autopsy is still to take place.
