Can't stand mobile phones. It's like wearing one of those tags they strap to your leg if you come out of prison early.

Trafico have fined 6,625 drivers for using a mobile phone while driving during this campaign in which more than 800,000 vehicles have been checked on Spanish roads, 100,000 more than in the same campaign last year. Of these 800,000, 113,716 have been stopped by Trafico officers. (How did they check the others??)

A further 293 drivers have been charged with using earphones, and 737 drivers have been fined for operating their CD players.

All these drivers have incurred a "serious infraction" which has resulted in a fine of 150€ and the loss of 3 points, in accordance with article 65 of the Road Security Act.
