The initiative, which will last for six months, includes work on public land, pavements, walls, signs, and play areas, and will involve the employment of 14 Granadilla unemployed. It is hoped that the work will also provide training and labour qualifications to further the prospects of the workers in their search for permanent employment.
The Ayuntamiento will focus on those who find it more difficult than others to find work at this time, specifically those over 25 years of age, and with few qualifications, which defines almost 80% of the unemployed in the municipality.
It is hoped that everyone will benefit, says the Ayuntamiento ... at least they're trying.
