Candelaria man arrested for internet grooming and sexual assault of a minor

There are precious few details for this story, but all the press are featuring it heavily ...

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in the Candelaria area on charges of sexual assault following an internet grooming. After being in contact online, a meeting was arranged, and the youngster was persuaded to leave home to meet her attacker.

As I say, precious few details, but it's being widely reported even so. It's horrible to think this happens here too.

A few more details have emerged now. The man, a Rumanian, used the online ID of Florinsexxy2000, and his victim was 14. In his online contact with the girl, he showed images of his genitals and convinced her to meet with him. Although this might suggest that she knew what she was doing, their sexual encounter was forced. Both aggressor and victim live in Avda Marítima de Candelaria, though he remains in police custody pending a court hearing.
