The Tenerife Cabildo has approved the widening of the TF5 to three lanes in both directions between Guamasa (La Laguna) and La Orotava.
Plans have been going through the motions for the project since 2005, and now, with the Cabildo's approval, they can be finalised, with various adaptations needing to be added before works can be put out to tender. No date has been confirmed yet for the start of the works themselves.
