Default Binter withdraws all connections between La Gomera and Gran Canaria, and reduces its flights between La Gomera and Tenerife

Binter has announced that it is stopping all connections between La Gomera and Gran Canaria, and that it is to reduce connections with Tenerife despite its public service obligations.

Specifically, Binter is planning to withdraw the first flight to Tenerife at 8am, leaving only the 11am departure.

Do people fly from Tenerife to La Gomera

I don't blame them for removing those flights!

You beat me to it Hopper. La Gomera does not look like it has anywhere flat enough for a runway.

The airport is in the south, near Playa de Santiago, and there is quite a core of people who commute or travel frequently. The problem with removing the 8am flight is that it's the one people use when coming over on business, which is the most usual reason for flying. There just aren't enough of them, I guess, to make the line viable. There's quite a stink in La Gomera about it, apparently.
