I'm afraid these schemes often sucker in the vulnerable. I have lost count of the number of times we have received an email or phone call from my sister in law to ask if we want to be part of her "downline". She's on her own and a vulnerable lady and the "excitement" of being part of something and making money to boot is appealing to her.

Sadly, one time she did make money on one of these schemes so she is convinced it can happen again.

Meetings in Santa Cruz have now been confirmed. Always in rented locales, and with between 20-50 or so present. Amounts "invested" in Santa Cruz are greater than in La Orotava, with some investing 1,000. That's been confirmed, but some are alleging "investments" of 2,000.

There are hundreds of people already out there looking for their own downline ... it'll come south soon, it has to.

One particular slant on the Santa Cruz meetings ... they are selling it not as a gambling "investment" but as an alternative system to the now failed capitalist one. Essentially a savings co-operative. Do be careful!

Meetings confirmed in La Laguna and Tabaiba now. Police and Government are really pushing the warnings here, as well as saying that these sort of schemes are illegal in Spain.
